The Hamilton Tag!
I have been quite obsessed with Hamilton for the past few weeks, and while I was lying in bed with my phone, I found a video on YouTube by JonasAlmostFamous entitled ‘The Hamilton Tag’. She is a huge Hamilton fan and created this tag!
She gave permission for all of us to use her questions, and I decided to do it, so here you go!
1) How did you find out about Hamilton?
I first heard about it from TheFineBros video about Elders reacting to the musical, but I definitely didn’t give too much thought about it because of how different it was from musicals I’ve seen. Then I saw the opening number of Tony, and the rest is history.
2) Favorite Character?
My favorite character will definitely has to be everyone’s favorite fighting Frenchman, Lafayette.
3) Character you would want to play?
Angelica Schuyler, hands down! She has such a great story line in the musical, although I won’t be opposed to playing Eliza as well.
4) Favorite song to listen to?
I got to list five, you all.
- Wait for It
- Satisfied
- It’s Quiet Uptown
- That Would Be Enough
- Aaron Burr, Sir
5) Favorite song to sing along with?
Wait for It, no competition.
6) Part you always mess up when you’re singing along?
Every rap part, I think, I mess up a lot. I can sing That Would be Enough just fine, but when it comes to the rap part, I just haven’t gotten the time to learn all of it.
7) Can you rap Guns and Ships?
I can sing along to the part where the Company sings ‘Lafayette!’
8) Which cast member would you most want to meet?
Daveed Diggs! He is such a lay back, charismatic person, and his little laughs are contagious, I’m telling you.
9) Have you seen the show?
No, and I don’t think I’ll ever get to see it with the original cast, but once I’m older and have enough money for myself, I’ll fly to New York and get a ticket.
10) Have you read the book?
I didn’t even know there was a book about it until I watched Jona’s video, but I will most definitely look for it.
11) Favorite line in the show?
life doesn’t discriminate between the sinners and the saints, and it takes, and it takes, but we keep living anyway, we rise and we fall and we break, and we make our mistakes, and if there’s a reason I’m still alive, when everyone who loves me has died, then I’m willing to wait for it.
12)Five words to describe the show?
Phenomenal, majestic, ethereal, unreal, and cinnamon roll.
